Every child has a story ...

But not every child has the words.

Mind Chapters is a unique story-based approach to children’s emotional wellbeing.

We use specially created stories to help children recognise and understand their emotions, explore a choice of practical strategies, and practise what works for them in real life.

But the story is only the beginning — Mind Chapters brings together stories, creative activities and children’s own voices, helping them move from understanding someone else’s story to understanding, expressing and eventually creating their own.

STORY → EXPLORE → PRACTISE → FIND YOUR VOICE

The Story
Meet characters facing situations children may recognise.

Explore
Talk about feelings, discover different ways of responding and choose strategies that feel right for them.

Practise
Take the ideas off the page through creative, practical activities in the real world.

Find Your Voice

The longer-term journey is about more than understanding emotions. Children can move from exploring characters' stories, to understanding their own experiences, finding their voice and eventually creating their own stories.

What makes Mind Chapters different?

More than a wellbeing story

There are lots of wonderful children's stories that explore emotions and wellbeing. Mind Chapters is different because its stories are purpose-built to be part of a wider wellbeing approach.

The story is the starting point — not the end. Each story is created around a particular emotional wellbeing theme, with opportunities for children to explore what they are feeling, discover different strategies and practise them in real life.

Purpose-built stories

The stories aren't simply stories that happen to contain a wellbeing theme. Each one is designed alongside the conversations, practical strategies and creative activities that follow, creating a complete journey from story to real-life practice.

Choice matters

There isn't one strategy that works for every child or every situation. Mind Chapters gives children different things to try, helping them discover what works for them - and understand that if something doesn't help, they haven't failed; they can try something else.

Children are part of the process

Mind Chapters is being developed with children, not simply for children. Their responses help shape the stories, activities and resources, making the approach practical, engaging and relevant to the children who use it.

Mission and Vision

At Mind Chapters, our mission is to unlock the power of stories to help children grow in confidence, express themselves, and develop emotional wellbeing. We aim to create spaces where every child can explore feelings, share their own stories, and discover the joy of creativity. All profits are reinvested into programmes, workshops, and publishing projects that directly benefit children and communities.

NEWS!

Our first Mind Chapters book is here!

The Great Glimmer Hunt, the first book in the Mind Chapters series, is out now!

Available from Amazon now - follow this link!

This therapeutic story introduces children to the idea of “glimmers” — small moments of calm, joy, and safety that help us feel more grounded. Through the story, children are gently encouraged to notice these positive moments in their own lives, supporting wellbeing and emotional awareness.

At the end of the book, children are guided by Lucia, one of our Mind Chapters Champions, who helps bring the story to life through fun and thoughtful activities designed to encourage reflection, creativity, and conversation.
